About DaleWood Farms
At DaleWood Farms, this isn’t just land—it’s a long-term build.
We’re a family-run, veteran-owned farm based in Daleville, Indiana, built on discipline, resilience, and the belief that if you build something right, it should outlast you.
This operation is rooted in structure, purpose, and real-world systems—not trends.
Who We Are
DaleWood is led by Brian and Maci, with our kids Tyler and Jersei learning right alongside us every day.
Maci serves as CEO of DaleWood Farms LLC—managing contracts, communication, and administration to keep the business structured and moving forward.
Brian leads daily operations—handling livestock, land management, and production with a hands-on approach shaped by years of technical work, military service, and rebuilding from the ground up.
This is a family operation where everyone has a role—and everything we do is intentional.
What We Raise
Our flagship product is our Black Beauty hogs—a purpose-driven cross between Berkshire and Meishan genetics.
We built this line for one reason:
to produce some of the highest-quality pork you can raise on pasture.
- Berkshire brings marbling, flavor, and carcass quality
- Meishan brings docility, maternal strength, and high-fat, high-flavor profiles
The result is a hog that is:
- Exceptionally calm and easy to handle
- Hardy and well-suited for pasture-based systems
- Rich in flavor with superior fat quality
We raise them with a focus on performance, temperament, and end-product quality—not just growth speed.
Beyond hogs, we operate with a production-first mindset:
- Chickens and goats are raised to order for clients
- Our pond is stocked with bluegill and catfish as part of our long-term land and food system
- We’ve worked with rescue dogs in the past, repurposing and placing them where they can thrive
Everything here has a purpose. If it doesn’t serve the system, it doesn’t stay.
More Than a Farm
DaleWood is a living classroom.
Every pasture, pond, and pen teaches something—about responsibility, systems, failure, and growth. Those lessons don’t stay here. They get passed down to our kids, shared with our community, and applied to everything we build.
Brian also shares that mindset through DaleWood Talks—a blog focused on real-world lessons, discipline, and long-term thinking. It’s not just about farming—it’s about building a life that actually works.
Where We’re Going
We’re not building a small farm—we’re building a scalable, community-centered system.
The vision for DaleWood Farms includes:
- Direct-to-consumer pork and freezer cuts
- Whole-hog programs for families
- A local farm-to-table storefront in Daleville
- Educational workshops and hands-on experiences
- Community spaces centered around food, land, and learning
Everything we’re doing today is laying the groundwork for that future.
What We Believe
At the core of DaleWood Farms is a simple truth:
We’re not just raising animals—we’re building something that feeds people, teaches the next generation, and creates options for the future.
Pasture-raised. Produce-driven. Built with purpose.
