About Us

DaleWood Farms LLC

At DaleWood Farms, land is more than soil and animals—it’s legacy. We are a family farm based in Daleville, Indiana, grounded in faith, resilience, and the belief that what we build today can outlive us tomorrow.

We’re Brian and Maci, alongside our kids, Tyler and Jersei. Together, we’re shaping DaleWood into something bigger than ourselves. From raising heritage hogs like our Black Beauties and KuneKunes, to caring for goats, chickens, rabbits, and rescue dogs, our farm is a living classroom. Every pasture, pond, and pen teaches us lessons we pass on to our children, our community, and anyone who’s listening.

Brian’s path here has been anything but linear. He served as a U.S. Army Cavalry Scout with multiple deployments to Iraq, where beyond combat, he worked to rebuild small communities—bringing structure and hope to places that desperately needed it. Later, after losing everything, he experienced a second season of rebuilding, one that led him to write his book during incarceration. That work became Man Code: A Guide for the Betterment of Young Men, published by Dorrance Bookstore in 2018, which openly shares his transformation through faith, redemption, and purpose  .

Beyond the book, Brian shares insights through Dale Wood Talks, a blog of honest reflections on life, nature, and the truths that matter most. These writings—be they 500 or 1,000 words—aren’t about farming alone. They’re about living freely, thinking deeply, and passing on wisdom because someone once shared it with us.

Behind the scenes, Maci serves as the CEO of DaleWood Farms LLC—managing contracts, communications, and administration to keep our vision both anchored and growing. Brian leads daily operations, but it’s Maci’s structure and strategy that keep this whole system moving forward. Tyler and Jersei are learning by doing—whether pulling ears of corn, walking the dogs to teach them manners, or soaking up the steady discipline of family farming. At DaleWood, every person has a role.

Our future is wide open. Today, we raise livestock, stock our pond, write, teach, and welcome community partnerships. Tomorrow, DaleWood Farms will grow into food subscriptions, educational workshops, events, and regenerative systems that sustain both our family and others across the region.

At the core of it all sits one unwavering truth: We’re not just raising animals—we’re cultivating freedom, wisdom, and legacy. DaleWood Farms is where experience meets teaching, where family meets community, and where anyone who comes by leaves with something more than they arrived with.
